MEET PARK INGLEFIELD

The conversations I had at doorsteps across our community deepened my understanding of what our neighbors truly need.

I am a proud fourth-generation North Carolinian. I grew up playing in creeks, running through pastures, and enjoying the natural beauty of the North Carolina foothills.

Today, I serve as the North Carolina State Director for Young People's Alliance, a bipartisan nonprofit that equips the next generation of leaders with the tools to advocate for positive change. In this role, I manage and organize young people across party lines on critical AI regulation policy. Young People’s Alliance is focused on working with both Democratic and Republican lawmakers to ensure emerging technology serves the public interest. This bipartisan work has sharpened my ability to build coalitions and find common ground on complex issues.

In 2025, I ran for Mayor of Hickory, earning 45% of the vote. That campaign changed my life. The conversations I had at doorsteps across our community deepened my understanding of what our neighbors truly need. That's why I'm now running for the North Carolina House of Representatives District 96, to fight for the infrastructure funding, healthcare access, education support, and economic policies our community deserves.

I was born in Statesville and raised in Hickory from the age of four. My faith was nurtured by the caring community at Northminster Presbyterian Church, where I grew up surrounded by mentors and neighbors who believed in me. I attended Hickory Public Schools and played soccer, performed in school plays, and discovered my love for learning. I graduated high school from Colorado Rocky Mountain School after attending the Outdoor Academy semester school in Brevard, NC, and falling in love with outdoor education.

I went on to study political science at Northeastern University in Boston, graduating with honors and a minor in psychology. I spent ten years in Boston, gaining experience in public service by working for a U.S. Senator and training women to run for political office.

In 2022, I returned home to North Carolina, determined to give back to the place that raised me. I have worked with several nonprofit organizations, including serving as Deputy State Director for Rise Free. I completed a year-long term on the Catawba County Grand Jury, where I witnessed firsthand the challenges our community faces with domestic violence, child endangerment, and substance abuse.

When I'm not working or campaigning, you can find me enjoying Crawdads games, spending time with family, attending city and town council meetings, or exploring local shops and restaurants.
